GLASGOW, Scotland, July 14 (UPI) -- Darren Clarke grabbed the second-round lead at the Barclay's Scottish Open golf tournament in Glasgow Friday with a 6-under 65 at Loch Lomond Golf Club.
Clarke sits at 11-under 131 after 36 holes, three strokes ahead of the pack heading into weekend play on the European Tour.
Johan Edfors carded a 2-under 69 for a share of second place with Charl Schwartzel (66) and Damien McGrane (66) at 8-under 134 after two rounds.
Edfors and David Drysdale shared the lead after the first round. Drysdale shot a 1-under 70 Friday and was tied for fifth place with Jamie Donaldson (67) at 7-under 135.
Defending champion Tim Clark was knotted with five other golfers in seventh place at 6-under 136 after shooting a 4-under 67 Friday.
