Sorenstam stays No. 1 in LPGA rankings

PHILADELPHIA, July 11 (UPI) -- Annika Sorenstam remained the world's No. 1 female golfer despite losing in the quarterfinals of the HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship.

Michelle Wie, Lorena Ochoa, Karrie Webb, Paula Creamer and Cristie Kerr round out the top six, with no changes from a week ago.

Julie Inkser, who beat Sorenstam and Creamer to reach the Match Play championship finals, moved up from eighth to seventh place while Yuri Fudoh fell one position to No. 8 in the latest rankings.

Brittany Lincicome moved up from No. 58 to No. 21 after winning her first LPGA Tour victory on Sunday 3 & 2 over Inkster.
