MLB: Pittsburgh 3, Philadelphia 2

PHILADELPHIA, July 7 (UPI) -- Sean Casey, Jason Bay and Freddy Sanchez each drove in a run Friday night as Pittsburgh beast Philadelphia, 3-2.

Nate McLouth had two runs and two hits, and Jose Bautista had two hits for the Pirates (30-58), who snapped a three-game losing streak.

In seven innings, winner Ian Snell (8-6) surrendered only one run and three hits with three walks and six strikeouts. Mike Gonzalez earned his 13th save.

Chase Utley hit a run-scoring single, Bobby Abreu hit a sacrifice fly, and Jimmy Rollins had a run and two hits for the Phillies (38-47), who have lost three straight and 18 of their last 23 games.

Losing pitcher Jon Lieber (3-6) gave up three runs and five hits in seven innings with two walks and one strikeout.
