MLB: Minnesota 8, LA Dodgers 2

MINNEAPOLIS, June 26 (UPI) -- Joe Mauer was 4-for-5 with five RBI and Carlos Silva pitched eight innings Monday as the Minnesota Twins posted an 8-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Michael Cuddyer drove in two runs and Luis Castillo scored four runs for the Twins, who have won 13 of their last 14 games.

Silva (4-8) gave up two runs on six hits with no walks.

Nomar Garciaparra and Andre Ethier each drove in a run for the Dodgers, who saw their four-game winning streak come to an end.

Chad Billingsley (0-1) suffered the loss in his third major league start, allowing six runs on seven hits and seven walks in 5 2/3 innings.
