PITTSFORD, N.Y., June 23 (UPI) -- After shooting a 1-under 71 on Friday, Shi Hyun Ahn has a one-shot lead after two rounds of the LPGA Wegmans Classic at Pittsford, N.Y.
Through 36 holes, Ahn is 8-under 136.
"I was trying to play as well as (I did Thursday)," said Ahn, who opened with a 7-under 65. "I was trying to focus on my driver. I was trying to hit a lot of draw shots on the driver, but it didn't work out well, so my driver end up going straight. I end up having a lot of balls in the rough so it was a little hard, but it end up being a good day."
Brittany Lang (71) and Seon-Hwa Lee (67) are tied for second place at 7-under 137.
Wendy Ward (68), Nicole Castrale (69), Rachel Hetherington (69) and Jamie Hullett (67) all are 6-under 138.
Seventy-three players made the 2-over 146 cut.
