MLB: Minnesota 8, Boston 1

MINNEAPOLIS, June 15 (UPI) -- Justin Morneau had his second career grand slam and Brad Radke threw six solid innings as the Minnesota Twins beat Boston Wednesday, 8-1.

Morneau had two hits; Jason Kubel also homered; and Luis Castillo had two hits, one run and one RBI for the Twins, who have won five of their last six games.

Radke (5-7) held the Red Sox to one run on five hits. Willie Eyre, Dennys Reyes and Kyle Lohse combined for three innings of scoreless relief for the Twins.

Coco Crisp accounted for Boston's only run with his second homer of the year.

Matt Clement (5-5) went 4 2/3 innings, surrendering three runs on five hits for the Red Sox, who lost their third straight.
