MLB: LA Dodgers 7, San Diego 3

SAN DIEGO, June 15 (UPI) -- Right-hander Chad Billingsley scattered two runs and six hits over 5 1/3 innings Thursday afternoon as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat San Diego, 7-3.

Billingsley, a first-round pick for the Dodgers in 2003, also drove in two runs.

Jeff Kent had two runs, three hits and two RBI, and Matt Kemp, Rafael Furcal and Olmedo Saenz each knocked in a run for the Dodgers (36-30), who broke a two-game skid.

In relief, the winner was Jonathan Broxton (1-0).

Kent's two-run double in the seventh inning was the 484th double of his career, tying him with Hal McRae for 57th on the all-time list.

Vinny Castilla had a pinch-hit, solo home run, and Dave Roberts had two hits and drove in a run for the Padres (34-32), who had won the first two games of the three-game series.

Loser Brian Sikorski dropped to 0-1.
