MLB: Detroit 6, Tampa Bay 2

DETROIT, June 15 (UPI) -- Vance Wilson and Brandon Inge each drove in two runs Thursday afternoon, lifting the Detroit Tigers to a 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Winner Zack Miner (2-1), making his third major league start, gave up two runs -- both in the first inning -- and three hits in seven innings with one walk and one strikeout.

Detroit scored twice in the third and three times in the fourth to take control of the game. Inge tripled in a run and scored on a groundout by Wilson to tie the score at 2-2. Wilson had a single in the fourth that capped a three-run rally.

Inge drove his other run in the sixth for the game's final run. All of the Detroit runs came off Tampa Bay starter, Casey Fossum (2-3).

Ricco Badelli had two of the three Devil Rays' hits while Jorge Cantu and Aubrey Huff each drove in a run for Tampa Bay, which lost three of the four games in the series with the Tigers.
