LOS ANGELES, June 12 (UPI) -- Cobi Jones scored a goal in the 88th minute of the game, allowing the Los Angeles Galaxy to tie D.C. United in a Major League Soccer game.
Jones' goal Sunday allowed the Galaxy to snap a seven-game losing streak. Los Angeles has not won a game since April 29.
D.C. United, which saw a three-game winning streak end, got a goal from Christian Gomez in the 21st minute with a hard shot from 24 yards out.
Jones entered the game as a substitute in the 67th minute. He dribbled past United goalkeeper Troy Perkins for an easy tap into the goal from five yards out shortly before regulation time expired.
