MLB: Los Angeles 6, Colorado 5

DENVER, June 12 (UPI) -- Sandy Alomar, Jr. hit an RBI single in the top of the ninth inning Sunday, giving Los Angeles a 6-5 win over the Colorado Rockies.

The Dodgers (35-28), who lead the National League West Division, also got a run-scoring single from Russell Martin in their two-run ninth inning rally.

Matt Kemp hit two homers and drove in three runs; while Willy Aybar, Olmedo Saenz, and Jose Cruz Jr., each had one run and one hit as Los Angeles won for the third time in its last seven games.

Winning pitcher Danys Baez rose to 4-3. Takashi Saito earned his fourth save.

Garrett Atkins and Todd Helton each had two RBI; Cory Sullivan had two runs and three hits; and Matt Holliday had one run and three hits for the Rockies (30-32), who have lost to the Dodgers in seven of nine games this season.

Losing pitcher Brian Fuentes dropped to 1-1.
