KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 10 (UPI) -- Greg Norton had three runs, two hits and two RBI Saturday afternoon, leading Tampa Bay to a 9-5 win over the Kansas City Royals.
Jorge Cantu had two runs and four hits; Toby Hall had one hit and two RBI; Ty Wigginton had two runs and two hits; and Russell Branyan had one run, two hits and one RBI for the Devil Rays (16-44), who broke a three-game losing streak.
Winner Casey Fossum (2-2), recently off the disabled list, surrendered one run and seven hits in six innings.
Doug Mientkiewicz had three hits and two RBI, Reggie Sanders hit a two-run homer, and Mark Grudzielanek scored twice for the Royals (16-44), who had won their previous two games.
The loser was Mike Wood (3-2).
The home run gave Sanders 300 for his career. He joined Willie Mays, Barry Bonds, Bobby Bonds and Andre Dawson with at least 300 homers and 300 stolen bases.
