Henin-Hardenne wins her 3rd French Open

PARIS, June 10 (UPI) -- Justine Henin-Hardenne won her third French Open title in four years with a 6-4, 6-4 victory Saturday over eighth-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova.

With the victory, Henin-Hardenne became just the sixth woman in the Open Era to hoist the trophy at Roland Garros at least three times, and the first to repeat since Steffi Graf in 1996.

Henin-Hardenne steamrolled through the field without dropping a set and posted her 14th consecutive victory on Roland Garros' red clay.

The 24-year-old Belgian Henin-Hardenne improved to 11-1 lifetime against the Russian Kuznetsova, including a perfect 4-0 in Grand Slams.
