Play is suspended at the LPGA Championship

HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., June 9 (UPI) -- Dorothy Delasin was the club-house leader in the second round of the rain-suspended LPGA Championship in Havre de Grace, Md.

Because of the inclement weather, several players were unable to finish the second 18 holes on Friday.

One of them was Pat Hurst, who opened with a 5-under-par 67 on Thursday, good for a fourth place tie with Delasin and Christina Kim. Defending champion Annika Sorenstam joined the non-finishers.

At 6-under 138, Delasin is one shot ahead of first round leader Nicole Castrale and Michelle Wie, who shot 5-under 68 before the rains came.

Overall, Wie is 6-under 138.

The projected cut line will be established when the second round is completed on Saturday morning. Among who will miss it are Sheila Stanford (146) and Grace Park (149).
