KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 6 (UPI) -- Brad Wilkerson homered, doubled and scored twice Tuesday to lead the Texas Rangers to a 6-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
Kevin Millwood (7-3) got the win after allowing two runs on seven hits with a walk and five strikeouts over seven innings.
Mark Teahen homered and drove in both Royals' runs. Scott Elarton (1-7) took the loss after giving up four runs on eight hits with two walks and a strikeout over five innings for Kansas City, which has lost five its last six contests.
Earlier in the day, the Royals selected right-handed pitcher Luke Hochevar as the top overall choice in the 2006 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
