MLB: Seattle 12, Kansas City 1

SEATTLE, June 4 (UPI) -- The Seattle Mariners scored four times in both the third and fourth innings Saturday night and clobbered Kansas City, 12-1, for their third straight win.

Richie Sexson hit two homers and drove in five runs; Ichiro Suzuki had two runs, three hits and one RBI; Raul Ibanez had two runs, one hit and two RBI; and Kenji Johjima had two hits and two RBI for the Mariners (25-32).

Winner Joel Pineiro (5-5) gave up one run and seven hits in seven innings with two walks and four strikeouts.

Matt Stairs had two hits and knocked in the lone run; and Doug Mientkiewicz score the run and had one hit for the Royals (13-40), who have dropped their last three games.

Losing pitcher Seth Etherton (1-1) surrendered seven runs and four hits in 2 2/3 innings with four walks and two strikeouts.
