MLB: Arizona at Atlanta, ppd.

ATLANTA, June 2 (UPI) -- The game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Braves in Atlanta Friday night was postponed because of rain.

The contest will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on Saturday.

The teams waited just over two hours before the game was postponed.

Saturday's scheduled starters are Arizona's Enrique Gonzalez and Claudio Vargas. They will be opposed by John Smoltz and John Thomson.

The Diamondbacks won Thursday night's game, 2-1.
