ATLANTA, June 3 (UPI) -- Chad Tracy had three hits, including a homer, two runs and one RBI Saturday afternoon as Arizona beat Atlanta, 4-2, in the opener of a day-night doubleheader.
Orlando Hudson also homered, and both Luis Gonzalez and Shawn Green had two hits and one RBI for the Diamondbacks (32-22), who have won three of their last four games.
In his first major league victory, winner Enrique Gonzalez (1-0) allowed two runs and four hits in six innings with on walk and eight strikeouts.
Marcus Giles hit a two-run single, and Adam LaRoche had one run and two hits for the Braves (28-27), who have dropped four of their last five games.
Losing pitcher John Smoltz (4-3) gave up four runs on eight hits in seven innings with no walks and 10 strikeouts.
Arizona's Eric Byrnes went 0-for-5, ending his 15-game hitting streak.
The teams were rained out Friday night.
