MLB: Cleveland 12, Chi. White Sox 8

CLEVELAND, June 1 (UPI) -- Ronny Belliard hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning Thursday night to help Cleveland beat the Chicago White Sox, 12-8.

Belliard had two runs, three hits and four RBI; Jason Michael hit a two-run homer; Ben Broussard, who homered in the eighth, had two runs, four hits and two RBI; and Grady Sizemore had one run, two hits and two RBI for Cleveland -- which scored four times in both the sixth and seventh innings to overcome an early four-run deficit, and was able to salvage a split of the four-game series.

The winner was Fernando Cabrera (1-1).

Jermaine Dye hit two homers and knocked in five runs; Jim Thome had one hit, two runs and three RBI; and Tadahito Iguchi had one hit and two runs for the White Sox (33-19), who had won nine of their past 12 games at Jacobs Field.

The loser was Matt Thornton (0-1).
