DENVER, May 28 (UPI) -- The Colorado Rockies overcame Barry Bonds' 715th career home run and beat San Francisco, 6-3.
Ryan Spilborghs, who played in place of the injured Luis Gonzalez, hit a two-run triple; Jamey Carroll had one run, three hits and one RBI; and winning pitcher Byung-Hyun Kim had one run, one hit and one RBI for the Rockies (26-24), who had dropped their previous five games.
In 5 1/3 innings, Kim gave up three runs and six hits, walking three and fanning five.
Bonds belted a two-run homer off Kim in the fourth inning, while both Jose Vizcaino and Steve Finley had one run and one hit for the Giants (26-24), who were held scoreless by Colorado's bullpen for 3 2/3 innings.
Bonds passed Babe Ruth to take sole possession of second place on the all-time major league homer list.
The losing pitcher was Jamey Wright (5-4).
Gonzalez was placed on the 15-day disabled list before the game with a wrist injury.
