MLB: Seattle 7, Baltimore 4

SEATTLE, May 25 (UPI) -- Yuniesky Betancourt and Richie Sexson keyed a 6-run Seattle rally with 2-run doubles, boosting the Mariners to a 7-4 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Sexson also drove in a run in the first inning of Wednesday's game as the Mariners won for the sixth time in seven games. Seattle starter Jarrod Washburn (3-5), despite giving up a pair of 2-run home runs, took the victory.

Baltimore starter Kris Benson (6-4) lasted just two innings and was charged with all the Seattle runs. Sexson put the Mariners ahead in the first with a single that drove in Jose Lopez but it was the second that did in the Orioles.

Seattle increased its lead with Betancourt's one-out double that drove in Kenji Johjima and Jeremy Reed and scored himself on an Ichiro Suzuki ground-rule double that left runners on second and third. Sexson followed with a double that made the score 6-0 and scored on a Carl Everett single.
