Robredo wins Hamburg Masters

HAMBURG, Germany, May 21 (UPI) -- Spaniard Tommy Robredo beat Czech Radek Stepanek in straight sets at Sunday's Hamburg Masters final in Hamburg, Germany.

The eighth-seeded Robredo earned $435,000 for his third career title -- and his first career ATP Masters title -- with a 6-1, 6-3, 6-3, victory over the 15th-seeded Stepanek.

The 24-year-old Robredo was playing in the sixth ATP final of his career.

Stepanek, 27, earned $217,000 for appearing in the second Masters Series final of his career. He was the runner-up at Paris in 2004.

He has lost all four of his career matches against Robredo.
