MLB: Cleveland 6, Kansas City 4

CLEVELAND, May 16 (UPI) -- Travis Hafner hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday as Cleveland ended a six-game losing streak with a 6-4 win over Kansas City.

Grady Sizemore hit a solo homer to lead off the Cleveland ninth to tie the game. Jhonny Peralta walked with one out and then Hafner, who was 3-for-4 with three RBI drove a 1-0 fastball from Andrew Sisco to center to cap the comeback.

Ronnie Belliard also was 3-for-4 and scored once for the Indians. Cleveland starter Paul Byrd allowed four runs on seven hits with five strikeouts in six innings. Jason Davis (2-1) earned the win after giving up just a walk in a scoreless ninth.

Matt Stairs homered for the Royals, who lost their fourth straight. Kansas City fell to 2-18 on the road. That ties a modern day major league record for worst road start through 20 games.
