NHL: Buffalo 3, Ottawa 2 (OT)

OTTAWA, May 13 (UPI) -- Jason Pominville scored in overtime Saturday as Buffalo reached the NHL Eastern finals with a 3-2 win over Ottawa in Game Five of their conference semifinals.

Henrik Tallinder and Chris Drury also scored for the Sabres, who await the winner of the New Jersey-Carolina series for the right to play for the Stanley Cup.

Ryan Miller made 34 saves as the Senators won in overtime for the third time in the series.

Daniel Alfredsson and Brian Pothier both scored for the Senators, who came into the playoffs as the top seed in the conference. Ray Emery made 21 saves in defeat.
