NEW YORK, May 6 (UPI) -- David Wright hit an RBI double in the bottom of the 14th inning Friday night to give the New York Mets an 8-7 win over Atlanta.
Carlos Beltran, who scored the winning run, hit two homers, scored three times and knocked in two runs; Jose Reyes had a career-high five hits; while Cliff Floyd also homered for the Mets (20-9), have won three in a row and eight of their last nine games. Wright had two RBI and three walks.

Winner Jorge Julio rose to 1-1.
Marcus Giles had three hits; Brian McCann had two RBI; Wilson Betemit homered; and Brian Jordan had two hits and two runs for the Braves (12-17).
Atlanta has lost its last three games.
Loser Jorge Sosa sank to 0-5.
