MLB: Texas 8, Baltimore 2

ARLINGTON, Texas, May 4 (UPI) -- Kevin Mench and Mark Teixeira each homered Thursday night as the Texas Rangers beat Baltimore, 8-2, for their sixth consecutive win.

Brad Wilkerson had two hits, two runs and drove in a run; Mark DeRosa, Phil Nevin and Brad Wilkerson all had two hits while Gerald Laird had three hits for the Rangers, who improved to 17-12.

Winner Kevin Millwood (3-2) went the distance on a four-hitter. He had two walks and one strikeout.

Jay Gibbons hit his eighth homer and Nick Markakis drove in the other run for the Orioles (14-16), who have lost five of their last six games.

Losing pitcher Bruce Chen (0-4) yielded eight runs and 11 hits in four innings with one walk and two strikeouts.
