NEW YORK, May 1 (UPI) -- Day Two of the 2006 NFL Draft was highlighted by the selections of former college quarterbacks who may play different positions in the pros.
Michael Robinson of Penn State was taken by San Francisco with the third pick of the fourth round; the New York Jets selected Missouri's Brad Smith, also in the fourth round; and Reggie McNeal of Texas A&M went in the sixth round to Cincinnati.
The Bengals listed McNeal as a wide receiver and both Smith and Robinson also were listed as wide receivers.
Elsewhere, former two-time Olympic skier Jeremy Bloom was selected by Philadelphia as a kick returner. Bloom did that for Colorado, but was a wide receiver.
The final pick of the draft, normally called "Mr. Irrelevant," was Maine wide receiver Kevin McMahan, who was taken by the Oakland Raiders.
National runner-up Southern California had 11 players chosen this year. No other school had double figures.
