ORLANDO, Fla., April 28 (UPI) -- Mi Hyun Kim shot a 6-under 66 Friday to take the lead midway through the LPGA's inaugural Ginn Clubs & Resorts Open Golf Tournament at Orlando.
Through 36 holes, Kim is 8-under-par 136, one-stroke better than Lorena Ochoa, who is 7-under 137.
13-year-old Dakoda Dowd, who was given a sponsor's exemption to this event, missed the cut after shooting 10-over 82.
"(Friday) was just a great experience. I didn't play as good as (Thursday), but I had fun," said Dowd, whose mother is terminally ill with cancer. "I really just think that the reason for this was for my mom to watch me reach my dream."
