DENVER, April 28 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony's 24 points led the Denver Nuggets to a 94-87 Western Conference playoff win against the visiting Los Angeles Clippers Thursday.
It was Denver's first win in the quarterfinal series, a best-of-seven now at 2-1.

Anthony racked 24 points while Andre Miller helped in the effort with 14 points and seven assists.
Greg Buckner and Early Boykins both scored 13 points while Marcus Camby recorded his 13th career playoff double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Los Angeles was led by Corey Maggette's 23 points, Sam Cassell's 20 and Elton Brand's 17 points and eight rebounds before fouling out.
Sixty-eight personal fouls were called in the game.
