MLB: Seattle 5, Chicago White Sox 1

SEATTLE, April 27 (UPI) -- The Seattle Mariners downed the visiting Chicago White Sox 5-1 Wednesday, led by Raul Ibanez, who went 3-for-4 with a homer and two runs scored.

Jose Lopez hit a two-run double in the second inning and Richie Sexson finished 2-for-4 with a run scored for Seattle, which has won two of its last three games.

Jarrod Washburn (2-3) threw 6 2/3 innings, allowing just one run on four hits with four strikeouts and a walk for the win. Washburn was pulled in favor of Rafael Soriano, who recorded the final out.

For the White Sox, Paul Konerko went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Juan Uribe had the lone RBI.

Mark Buehrle (3-1) suffered his first loss of the season after surrendering four runs on seven hits in seven innings of work.
