MLB: Chicago Cubs 3, Florida 1

CHICAGO, April 25 (UPI) -- Sean Marshall shut down Florida over seven innings to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 3-1 victory over the Marlins.

Marshall (2-0) allowed just two hits and two walks while striking out a career-high seven batters in the win.

Matt Murton went 3-for-3 with two runs batted in and a run scored for the Cubs, who have won three straight games.

Dan Uggla went 2-for-4 with the lone RBI for the Marlins, who have dropped their last three contests. Dontrelle Willis (1-1) suffered his first loss of the season as he allowed three runs on five hits in seven innings.
