It marked the first time in Sabres history that two players had three goals in the same playoff game.

Chris Drury added a goal and an assist and Ryan Miller made 20 saves for the Sabres, who have won seven straight games including a five-game streak to close the regular season.

The best-of-seven series moves to Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4.

Flyers goalkeeper Robert Esche stopped only five of 10 shots faced before being replaced at the start of the second period by Antero Niittymaki. Niittymaki stopped 15 shots in the loss for the Flyers, who have lost three of their last four games.

Buffalo scored the first five goals of the game in the first period.
