NBA: Detroit 92, Milwaukee 74

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 23 (UPI) -- Rasheed Wallace scored 22 points Sunday night as Detroit blasted Milwaukee, 92-74, in the first game of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal.

Richard Hamilton had 21 points, five rebounds and two assists before leaving with an ankle injury.

Tayshaun Prince had 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots; Chauncey Billups had 14 points and seven assists; Ben Wallace had four points, 17 rebounds, two steals and two blocks; and Rasheed Wallace also had four rebounds, three steals and two blocks for the Pistons, who are the top seed in the East after compiling the NBA's best regular season record at 63-19. They are trying to reach the Eastern Conference Finals for the fourth consecutive season.

Reserve Charlie Bell scored 13 points; sharpshooter Michael Redd was held to 11 points; and Jamaal Magloire had 11 points, nine rebounds and two assists for the Bucks, who are the East's eighth seed.
