MLB: Houston 3, Pittsburgh 2

HOUSTON, April 22 (UPI) -- Morgan Ensberg hit a two-run homer Friday night to help Houston edge the Pittsburgh Pirates, 3-2.

The third baseman set a club record with a home run in his sixth straight game.

Jason Lane added a solo homer and Craig Biggio went 3-for-4 for the Astros (11-5), who have won five of their last six games.

Winning pitcher Wandy Rodriguez (3-0) yielded only one run and five hits in six innings with two walks and four strikeouts. Brad Lidge worked the ninth for his sixth save.

Houston's Preston Wilson was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts and has struck out 13 times in the last four games.

Craig Wilson hit a run-scoring single; and Jason Bay hit a solo home run for the Pirates (5-13), who had won their previous two outings.

Loser Zach Duke (1-2) was touched for three runs and five hits in six innings.
