NBA: Washington 104, Cleveland 92

WASHINGTON, April 16 (UPI) -- Gilbert Arenas scored a game-high 35 points Sunday night as Washington beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 104-92.

Arenas also had five assists and two rebounds.

Caron Butler had 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists and four steals; Antonio Daniels had 17 points, two rebounds and two assists; and Antawn Jamison had 16 points, 11 rebounds and two steals for the Wizards (40-40), who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Washington had clinched an Eastern Conference playoff spot earlier in the day when Chicago won at Miami, 117-93. With the win, the Wizards moved one game in front of idle Indiana and Milwaukee for the conference's fifth spot.

LeBron James, who returned after a sprained ankle, had 17 points, five rebounds and four assists; Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 14 points and seven rebounds; and Flip Murray added 14 points and four assists for the Cavaliers (48-32), who have lost two of their last three games.
