MINNEAPOLIS, April 16 (UPI) -- Jason Giambi hit two home runs Sunday to lead the New York Yankees to a 9-3 rout of the Minnesota Twins.
Giambi had three hits and three RBI.

Alex Rodriguez and Robinson Cano also homered for the Yankees (6-6), who avoided a three-game sweep. Winning pitcher Chien Ming-Wang (1-0) gave up seven hits and two runs in seven innings with no walks and eight strikeouts.
Alex Rodriguez passed Cal Ripken Jr. and landed at No. 32 on the all-time list with his 432nd homer.
Luis Rodriguez was 2-for-5 with an RBI and Justin Morneau also had two hits for the Twins (6-6), who had a five-game winning streak snapped.
Loser Brad Radke (2-1) surrendered six runs and 10 hits in six innings with no walks and one strikeout.
