MLB: Tampa Bay 6, Kansas City 3

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 15 (UPI) -- Ty Wigginton hit a key two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning Saturday night as Tampa Bay beat the Kansas City Royals, 6-3.

Wigginton was 1-for-4 and drove in three runs while Carl Crawford went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Devil Rays (6-6). Tampa Bay has won two in a row and three of its last four games.

Winning pitcher Seth McClung (1-2) gave up three runs and nine hits in seven innings with two walks and three strikeouts.

Angel Berroa went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Doug Mientkiewicz had a double and a run scored for the Royals (2-8), who have lost six games in a row.

In relief of starter Mike Wood, loser Luke Hudson (0-1) gave up three runs and three hits in two innings with one walk and two strikeouts.
