NHL: Nashville 4, Minnesota 2

NASHVILLE, April 14 (UPI) -- Mike Sillinger scored two goals Thursday night as Nashville beat Minnesota, 4-2, to secure the fourth seed in the Western Conference.

The Predators, who have 102 points, will have home-ice advantage in the first round of the conference playoffs.

Dan Hamhuis and Shea Weber both had a goal and an assist; while goaltender Chris Mason made 27 saves for Nashville (47-25-8). The Predators have won four games in a row and improved to 30-8-1 at home this season.

Brian Rolston and Wes Walz scored a goal apiece; Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Erik Westrum, Kyle Wanvig, and Daniel Tjarnqvist added assists; and Josh Harding stopped 26 shots for the Wild (38-36-7).

Minnesota, which had a two-game winning streak broken, is eliminated from post-season play, and will finish its season on Saturday afternoon at Dallas.
