ANAHEIM, Calif., April 12 (UPI) -- Adam Kennedy doubled in two runs in the ninth inning, giving the Los Angeles Angels a 5-4 victory over the Texas Rangers.
J.C. Romero, the third Angels pitcher of Tuesday's game, collected the victory and is 1-0.
Los Angeles starter Jeff Weaver had a fairly good outing except when he faced Hank Blaylock, who touched Weaver for two home runs. Blaylock hit a 2-run homer in the second inning and added a solo shot in the fourth that put the Rangers up 3-1. He has three home runs on the season
Texas added a run in the seventh for a 4-1 advantage.
