MLB: Pittsburgh 7, LA Dodgers 6

PITTSBURGH, April 11 (UPI) -- The Pittsburgh Pirates held on Tuesday for a 7-6 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ryan Doumit, who scored Joe Randa with the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning, also homered for the Pirates, who had a season-high four homers.

Jeromy Burnitz, Jack Wilson and Craig Wilson also homered for Pittsburgh.

Bill Mueller hit a pair of homers and drove in three runs for the Dodgers, who fell to 4-4 on the season. Mueller ended with a career-high tying four hits for Los Angeles.

Pittsburgh's Salomon Torres (1-1) got the win in relief of starter Ian Snell. Torres allowed just one hit over two innings. Fellow setup man Roberto Hernandez worked a scoreless eighth and Mike Gonzalez pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his first save of the season.
