SAN FRANSCISCO, Calif., April 6 (UPI) -- A three-run double by Pedro Feliz in a six-run third inning helped San Francisco beat Atlanta, 6-4, Thursday.
Second baseman Ray Durham added a two-run single for the Giants, who won their home opener for the sixth straight season. Moises Alou also knocked in a run, while shortstop Omar Vizquel had two hits and a run scored.
Barry Bonds was 0-for-2 with two intentional walks and a strikeout.
San Francisco starter Noah Lowry was lifted after 1 2/3 innings because of a lower back strain. Winner Jeff Fassero (1-0) gave up three runs and five hits in 3 2/3 innings with no walks and two strikeouts.
Brian McCann, Brian Jordan and starter Jorge Sosa each hit solo homers, Chipper Jones added an RBI and Edgar Renteria had two hits and scored a run for the Braves. Sosa (0-1) yielded six runs and seven hits in 2 1/3 innings.
