CARSON, Calif., April 2 (UPI) -- The visiting New England Revolution scored a single goal in the first half to hand the Los Angeles Galaxy a 1-0 loss Saturday.

Clint Dempsey scored in the 33rd minute on a 4-yard header.

Galaxy midfielder Cobi Jones had a great chance in the 30th minute, but chipped the shot over the Revolution cross bar.

For the Revolution, Saturday's 1-0 victory is the first time the club has beaten the Galaxy in California in nearly 10 years.
