UNIONDALE, N.Y., April 1 (UPI) -- Sebastien Caron made 29 saves and recorded his first shutout of the season Friday night as Pittsburgh blanked the New York Islanders, 4-0.
Sidney Crosby had a goal and two assists; Sergei Gonchar scored twice; John LeClair had a goal and an assist; and Andy Hilbert added two assists for the Penguins (19-42-12), who stopped a two-game skid.

Garth Snow, who started in goal for New York, allowed four goals on 29 shots. The Islanders (33-35-5) have lost three in a row.
Neither team will make the playoffs and are playing out the string.
