NBA: Denver 106, Minnesota 94

DENVER, April 1 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored 32 points Friday night to lead the Denver Nuggets over Minnesota, 106-94.

Anthony also had five rebounds and two steals.

Andre Miller had 16 points, three rebounds and eight assists; Ruben Patterson had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists; Marcus Camby had 11 rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots and two steals; and Reggie Evans added seven points and 11 rebounds for the Nuggets (41-32), who are in first place in the Northwest Division by 6½ games over Utah. They are third in the Western Conference playoff race.

Kevin Garnett totaled 22 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and seven blocked shots; Ricky Davis had 21 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and two steals; Marcus Banks had 17 points, three rebounds and seven assists; and Mark Blount had 15 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three blocks for the Timberwolves (30-42).

Minnesota has lost four of its last five games at Denver.
