NHL: San Jose 5, Chicago 4 (OT)

CHICAGO, March 26 (UPI) -- Tom Preissing scored on the power play 84 seconds into overtime Sunday night, giving San Jose a 5-4 victory over Chicago.

It was the fourth win in five games for the Sharks, who have stormed into post-season contention and began the night two points out of a playoff spot.

Chicago lost in overtime for the second straight game, having fallen to Dallas in a shootout Friday night.

The Blackhawks forced overtime Sunday night when Kyle Calder scored a power-play goal with 1:12 to play in the third period. Radim Vrbata scored twice for the Blackhawks.
