TORONTO, March 23 (UPI) -- New York Rangers forward Ryan Hollweg was suspended three games without pay Thursday, the National Hockey League announced.
Hollweg was given a game misconduct penalty in Wednesday night's game against Philadelphia for hitting Flyers center R.J. Umberger from behind.

The fine will amount to $7,515.30, and Hollweg will miss games against Florida, Tampa Bay and Buffalo. He can return to action against the New York Islanders on March 29.
