NHL: Tampa Bay 4, Washington 3 (OT)

TAMPA, Fla., March 23 (UPI) -- Pavel Kubina's power-play goal 37 seconds into overtime Thursday night gave Tampa Bay its third win in four games, 4-3, over Washington.

The Lightning overcame three one-goal deficits, drawing even at 3-3 on Vincent Lecavalier's power-play goal with 7:14 to play in the third period.

Kubina won it with a slap shot while Ivan Majesky was serving an interference penalty he picked up late in the third.

Alex Ovechkin scored twice for the Capitals, who have lost in each of their last five trips to Tampa Bay's home ice.
