Bengals sign Packers receiver Chatman

CINCINNATI, March 20 (UPI) -- The Cincinnati Bengals agreed to terms Monday with former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Antonio Chatman.

Last season, Chatman, 27, caught a career-best 49 passes for 549, including four touchdowns, and scored on a punt return for the Packers. Green Bay had signed Chatman as a free agent after he spent two seasons with the Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League.

Chatman played his college football at the University of Cincinnati. The Bengals no. 3 receiver Chris Henry could be facing a suspension by the NFL following an off-season arrest and Kevin Walter signed with the Houston Texans.

Chatman also fills the team's need for a punt returner. He has averaged 8.2 yards on 110 career returns in his three NFL seasons, including an 85-yard touchdown runback against Chicago last December.
