CHICAGO, March 16 (UPI) -- The Chicago Blackhawks edged the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-2, Wednesday night as Kyle Calder scored the deciding goal midway through the third period.
Mark Bell and Mark Cullen also scored while goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin made 33 saves, including a critical penalty shot stopped in the second period.

For Columbus, Rick Nash had a goal and an assist. Jody Shelley also scored, and goalie Marc Denis turned away 26 shots in the loss.
The Blackhawks were 1-for-5 on the power play, while Columbus was 0-for-3.
