COL BKB: Minnesota 73, Wake Forest 58

MINNEAPOLIS, March 15 (UPI) -- Vincent Grier had 18 points and eight assists Wednesday night as Minnesota pounded Wake Forest, 73-58, in the first round of the NIT at Minneapolis.

Maurice Hargrow had 15 points, three rebounds and three assists. Adam Boone had 13 points, five assists and three rebounds and J'son Stamper added 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Golden Gophers, who rose to 16-14.

Chris Ellis had 12 points, six rebounds and blocked two shots. Justin Gray had 11 points, five assists and three rebounds and Eric Williams had eight points, four rebounds and three assists for the Demon Deacons, who ended their season at 17-17.

Minnesota had a 39-33 advantage at the break.
