ASHBURN, Va., March 13 (UPI) -- The Washington Redskins announced Monday they had signed wide receiver and free agent Antwaan Randle El from Pittburgh.
The terms agreed upon are worth a maximum of $31 million over seven years with up to $11.5 million guaranteed in roster and signing bonuses, a source told the Washington Post.
Randle El had spent his entire four-year career with the Steelers and helped lead them to a Super Bowl Championship last season. During that campaign, he caught 35 passes for 558 yards with one touchdown in 16 games.
He also completed all three passes he attempted in the regular season, one for a touchdown, before tossing a 43-yard TD strike to Hines Ward in the Super Bowl. That made him the first wide receiver in Super Bowl history to throw a touchdown pass.
